Raising Future Parents is a 12-week intensive class designed to equip parents and prospective parents with practical, biblical principles for raising children. The course focuses on building a functional home environment and implementing step-by-step life skills that support healthy child development.
This program is ideal for parents of children ages 0–12, as well as individuals planning to have children in the future. Parents whose children are only in their teenage years are encouraged to enroll in the Courageous Parenting class instead. For families with both teens and younger children, this course is recommended as the starting point.
Participants begin by examining functional and dysfunctional homes, gaining insight into how their own upbringing shapes their parenting style and how their children experience them. The remaining sessions provide clear, practical guidance rooted in biblical convictions, equipping parents to implement meaningful change in their homes.
Key topics include the scriptural basis for training and discipline, an explanation and levels of discipline, the training process through wisdom and life skills, the roles of fathers and mothers, spiritual development, and intentional ways of drawing near to children through support, play, and affection.
The course runs for 12 weeks and is offered through live classes at the Raising Future Parents Office in Nairobi, Kenya, as well as online via Zoom. Classes are held on Saturday mornings from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Participants receive the Raising Future Parents (RFP) book and are required to complete weekly text reading, study guide projects, and Scripture memory to ensure full immersion in the course content.
