HAWKS is a 12-week, Bible-centered program that equips parents with a practical, culturally relevant framework for guiding their children through sexuality, character formation, and identity – from birth through adolescence. Combining biblical wisdom, African family values, and real-life examples, it helps parents raise confident, godly, and informed children.
The course is ideal for parents and guardians of children aged 3 and above, as well as any adult who interacts with children and wants to positively influence their lives. Participants learn how and when to introduce conversations about sexuality, nurture moral and biblical values, and build open, trusting communication within the family.
The program covers five developmental stages:
Classes meet Saturday mornings, 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., online via Zoom or live in the Raising Future Parents offices in Nairobi. Participants receive the How and When To Tell Your Kids About Sex book and complete weekly readings, reflections, and application projects.
12 sessions of discussing, talking to children about matters to do with sexuality
